Welcome to my Art Portfolio! My name is Genesis Marroquin and I am an art major at California State University of Los Angeles and Los Angeles City College. Art has always played a huge role in my life, it has guided me through my toughest moments and led me to where I am today. When I started high school back in 2017 I got introduced to theatre arts and it's beauty. During my four years in high school I learned how to sew, create costume renderings, design a set, build models, do lighting, and most importantly, create. I believe creating and expressing emotions through art are incredibly important in life. There are so many ways to perceive someone’s art and I hope to teach people that. 

I have recently started doing commissioned work on my Instagram and discovered my newest passion, graphic design! My biggest accomplishment so far was completing 24 beautiful fully-colored illustrations for a now released YA Fantasy book called ‘Mae Jaxon & The Oracle’s Eyes’ by Jonathon Jones.
